Synopsis:

Every Spring, Illinois’ Affordable Assisted Living Coalition holds a Wii Bowling competition for its member homes, and as the reigning champs of Eden Supportive Living take on their old rivals from Bolingbrook it looks like their championship title might not be as safe as they thought. Though the competition is incredibly fierce, the competition has engendered deep friendships among teams. “Strikers” offers us a funny, heartfelt look at gaming into the golden years.

Filmmakers:
Andrea Raby

Andrea Raby is a documentary filmmaker and producer based in Chicago, IL. She began her career at Ogilvy & Mather producing commercial content for brands like Huggies and Modelo. Andrea is also an alum of the Kartemquin Films Internship Program, and currently freelances in the documentary and commercial spaces with clients such as Conde Nast and Left Hook Media. She worked as associate producer on Director Ruth Leitman’s repro-rights comedy docu-series No One Asked You, and produced Amber Love's A Galaxy Sits in the Cracks.

Amber Love

Amber Love is a Chicago-based filmmaker, documentary editor, and festival programmer. She was born and raised in Michigan, and she graduated with a degree in Anthropology and Cinema Studies from the University of Chicago. Since then Amber has worked with Kartemquin Films, edited for both film and television, served on numerous grant panels, held a crocodile, kissed the Blarney Stone, mentored filmmakers, and become a filmmaker herself.
